This programme has been designed in conjunction with the Cayman Islands Contractors Association to create a young technician entry-level workforce that can make progression to licensed status and beyond, through work experience and continued study.

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) is designed to prepare aspiring educators with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to work effectively with young children. Through a combination of theoretical coursework and supervised practicum experiences, this program equips students with competencies in child development, inclusive education, play-based learning, and early STEM integration.

The Level 2 qualification prepares you for an industry-recognized qualification at an entry level. Building on competencies gained at Level 1, progress to a comprehensive understanding of domestic plumbing, covering both theory and practical, to enable you to work successfully as a Licensed Plumber.

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of computer hardware and software, mobile devices, security and networking concepts, and the responsibility of an IT professional.

The Certificate of General Accounting is a two-year programme designed to provide business training for various entry-level employment in businesses and non-profit organizations. The courses include an Introduction to the Essentials of Office Administration, Essential of Financial Accounting, Essentials of Managerial Accounting, Essentials of Computerized Accounting (QuickBooks), Computer Application, and legal issues related to business.

The Electrical Installation Level 1 course provides foundational training for individuals interested in starting a career in the electrical trade. Students learn essential electrical theory, safety practices, and installation techniques used in residential and commercial settings. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on practical training, participants develop the skills needed to interpret electrical drawings, follow industry standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC), and perform basic electrical installations.

Certificate of General Business is a one-year programme designed to provide business training for various entry level employment in businesses and non-profit organizations. The courses include an introduction to Essential of Business, Office Administration, Business Ethics, Business Law Essentials, Customer Service, Computer Application, Essentials of Computerized Accounting (QuickBooks), Customer Service and legal issues related to business.

The aim of this Level 1 course is to provide instruction, demonstration, and practical experiences to facilitate the acquisition of basic skills and underpinning knowledge required by plumbing tradespersons who work under the supervision of a licensed plumber.

This programme is a partnership between UCCI and the Cayman Islands Government through the Department of Tourism to prepare Caymanians with Hospitality & Tourism related Education, Training, Certification and Career guidance for long-term hospitality success and industry leadership.
