Minimum Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work, with preference for MSW or an equivalent graduate qualification.
- Experience in social work practice and social work field education within the Cayman Islands.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise in Social Work practice and/or social work education.
- Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level is an asset.
- Relevant professional/industry experience in areas of competence is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
- High level of integrity in managing confidential and sensitive matters.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with commitment to collegial and collaborative work.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching aligned with the University’s mission and core commitments.
- Design, prepare and develop course materials.
- Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials and/or online sessions according to assigned teaching load.
- Assess and grade coursework, maintain accurate student records, and submit results on time.
- Provide academic support and monitor student progress.
- Facilitate workshops, tutorials and other learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with the Dean and Programme Director to support effective programme delivery.
- Ensure course quality and compliance with UCCI Curriculum Committee standards.
- Implement innovative and effective pedagogical approaches reflecting current research and best practice.
Compensation
KYD $45.39 per contact hour
